Tara or Dùmǔ 度 母 Chinese, Tarani Bosatsu in Japan, Jetsun Dolma in Tibetan, is a female Bodhisattva very popular among both lay and monks in Tibetan Buddhism. She is the liberator and the Mother of all Buddha. Tara is a female deity.
